Aortic Aneurysm

What are the signs and symptoms of an aortic aneurysm that a specialist hears from patients?

Aortic aneurysms do not typically give rise to any symptoms. When patients start having pain, the aneurysm usually is pending rupture. Some patients may get back pain as the aneurysm expands into the spine and rubs against the front of the spine, causing pressure.

It can cause difficulty walking when an aneurysm sends clots to block the leg arteries, but this presentation is rare.
