Who needs vascular surgery?

Those with conditions such as aortic aneurysm, aortic dissection, aortic ulcers, blood clots, blocked arteries in the legs (peripheral artery disease), blood clots in the veins (DVT), access for haemodialysis (arteriovenous fistula) and arteriovenous malformation may need vascular intervention, either open technique or now more usually keyhole or endovascular approach.
